Dim iMac screen completely while connected to external monitor

I want an option to dim the brightness of the iMac screen completely dark (not sleep, because that will cause the external monitor's screen to sleep as well).

I tried the Shades app but it's dimming the TV instead of the iMac screen.

Apple, of course not allowing turning the brightness off completely on the iMac.

Someone has an idea?
