Dimming macbook monitor even more (then the display settings allow)

Does anyone know if it's possible to dim my late 2008 macbook's display more then the lowest setting allows? It seems way too bright in the dark even at the lowest setting, plus I would like to save more battery if possible.

I might try making a different calibration that's for use in the dark and see if that helps...

I used to use Brightness Control with my 24" ACD. Worked fine with Leopard, but not sure about SL (probably works fine).

There's also Dark Adapted, but it had more features than I needed.
