I'm posting this in the MBP forums simply because these notebooks have FW 800 support. Now, I have an older DV Camcorder from Panasonic, and there are quite a few issues with it (quality, audio cut spurts at times, and DV tape use). It uses FW 400.
I want to upgrade, however, I do not know which is better overall. USB or FW 800?
Please help direct me to which would be better, and a camcorder that does not use DV, either High Definition or Standard (anything below $300), and which is supported best (USB or FW).
