Much greener pastures
Is there anyone who hasn't greatly enjoyed a number of this guy's films?

Some mainly appreciated his musicals, like "West Side Story" and "The Sound of Music". Sci-fi fan that I am, I loved his "The Andromeda Strain", "The Haunting", "Star Trek - The Motion Picture" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

So yet another Hollywood legend is gone. :( But he left us some genuine classics.

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Robert Wise. May he now ret in peace. Thank you for the many great classics that you directed.

"West Side Story" "Sound of Music" "The Day the Earth Stood Still"

Awesome films one and all. Own them on DVD.

people die, but what he did while he was alive is what we will all remember. maybe now more people will appreciate his works (more people under the age 40). I did love his work so much.

The Andromeda Strain gave me sleepless nights as a 10 year old... blood to dust... spooky.

A great roster of films to leave as a legacy.

*the hills are alive...*
