Director Robert Wise dies

Is there anyone who hasn't greatly enjoyed a number of this guy's films?

Some mainly appreciated his musicals, like "West Side Story" and "The Sound of Music". Sci-fi fan that I am, I loved his "The Andromeda Strain", "The Haunting", "Star Trek - The Motion Picture" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

So yet another Hollywood legend is gone. 🙁 But he left us some genuine classics.

Looks like it's time for an encore viewing of The Andromeda Strain (which someone, the Sci-Fi Channel I think, is remaking).

people die, but what he did while he was alive is what we will all remember. maybe now more people will appreciate his works (more people under the age 40). I did love his work so much.

The Andromeda Strain gave me sleepless nights as a 10 year old... blood to dust... spooky.

A great roster of films to leave as a legacy.
