Been using DTVN since launch on ATV4. The last two or three weeks, I get video freezes , but audio is ok, several times per hour.

Occasionally I get insulting error messages that things are loading slow and to check my network.

Anyone else?

All the usual, soft and hard reboots, reinstall the app, close all other apps don’t help. Network is hardwired and no other devices, nor no other ATV apps causing troubles.

Not looking for help, just wondering if the service has outgrown its capacity?

Could there be a problem with your download speeds?
Absolutely not. As I said, I have done all the normal troubleshooting things, including running speed test when the problems occur, and I have consistent 80Mbps+ download speeds on ATV, and on other devices. That is why I say the assumption ATT makes that it is a problem with MY network is so insulting.

I have been in the tech support business for over 20 years, supporting third party app integrations. The cardinal rule is to never point your finger at someone else till you know the problem is not with your app. Yet, it is the standard for the industry. Even if they suggested it could be either my network, or theirs, I would find it less insulting.

But, again, not looking for troubleshooting advice, just wondering how many others are experiencing issues. It is almost worse than the first few months of DTVN service, when ATT took serious lumps for poor performance, so much so that they offered 1 year of free HBO Go to compensate for the troubles.

I had the DirecTV Now app on my Apple TV for 3 months to get the free ATV 4k. I cancelled the service in April because it was too much of a hassle to get the service in Canada.

The service was fine when I had it but that was months ago and things have obviously changed since I cancelled.

Hopefully, you and all of the other subscribers will find a solution.

The same thing is happening to me as well, but its certain channels, not all of them. And it seems to come and go. The problem I think has something to do with the Apple TV (4th gen and 4K). When streaming on my iPad, Roku or Amazon Fire, I have zero problems with DirecTV Now. But I think the picture quality is better with the Apple TV when compared to the Roku or Amazon Fire. All and all I like DirecTV Now, it was the better fit for my family for the choice of channels offered and being data free on AT&T. When I’m stuck working late or on a weekend, it’s nice to be able to stream a ball game and or my locals on my iPad, comes in handy sometimes. Hopefully Apple and DirecTV Now gets this resolved. I did chat with tech support, and I did all the usual stuff (uninstall and reinstall, wireless and wired), and had the same problems with my Apple TV. And my internet connection is fiber, smoking fast. Tech support said they’d make it known, whatever that means. Another problem I’ve noticed, and it’s just the Apple TV, is the DVR, the sound is not always the greatest and sometimes skips. But watching the same program on my iPad, Roku or Amazon Fire TV, the sound is perfect.

Luckily, my service has been solid and consistent. Every now and then I get a hiccup, but that happens with these types of services. I've been happy with them since I switched from Sling.
