:DSo just today I was using my phone in the sunlight,
and I saw disgusting white particles of dust under the glass, near the home button.
My phone is a white iPhone 3GS, which I've had for less than 3 months.
I've had this problem with previous Apple products, such as my iPod touch, which was replaced in the Apple Store.
Has anyone else had this problem with an iPhone 3G or 3GS?
Thanks!
Any feedback will totally help.

Yes, a few others have had this same issue. Thankfully not me though. You can return it or just remove the glass and clean it yourself.

OH dear God, don't try to do it yourself, You risk

a) damaging your rubber seal = more dust will get in
b) introduce more dust into your phone when trying to clean it
c) Potentially break something = ruin your warranty

It really depends on how much it bugs you.

If I was in your situation I would let it build up until the last few days before your warranty is about to be over, sett up an appointment and hope you get a good one

Getting a refurbished phone ( as good as new if not better) will gain you an additional 90 day warranty or the original lenght of the warranty ( which ever is longer) .. So if it doesn't bug you , hold on to it and hope you can extend your original warranty to 15 months :apple:

( this will extend your warranty by 0-90 days, depending

Take it to the Apple Store and see what they can do for you. Just today I took my 3GS in because of dust under the screen (and possibly a couple of damaged pixels) and they replaced the display on the spot, free of charge.
