Hey, I'm almost done putting together my website with iWeb and I have several audio files posted. They're original compositions so I want to prevent anyone from downloading them. Is there a way I can disable downloading or right-clicking? I should also mention that I just got my first mac in december, so I'm still a little bit new to it. thanks :apple:

The thing is, the web is public, and thus anything out there can be taken. You can make it harder for people to take, but you can't completely protect it while also showing it off. Using Flash-based techniques can partly protect audio/video files. Flash also has ways of "disabling" right-click options, and there's JavaScript techniques as well (I don't know them off the top of my head).

I'm not sure how easy/hard it would be to implement these techniques in iWeb though. But again, nothing will work 100%, trust me. I'm often downloading things off people's sites who didn't want me to, but if it's really that important for others to not have it, don't post it in a public place.

the previous reply is truly correct nothing is safe if it is posted.
I know someone who sells his original music via iweb and studying what he has done might be useful.
He also anwers questions very well on the apple iweb 08 forum. So after seeing his site that might be the place to ask clarification.
