Quick question, maybe the answer is buried elsewhere: Is there anyway to disable the Facebook sharing icon in the screen capture widget?

    Many thanks,
    Daniel

I’d recommend deleting the Facebook app from your device and just using Safari to access it.

Does this solve the problem? Does it delete Facebook on the iOS system level?

Just deleted Facebook app and can confirm it does what you’re looking for.

Don't think Facebook has been integrated on OS level for at least a little while now.

Yes. Facebook and Twitter was once built into the OS. But they are like any other app now. Delete the app and it will remove it from CC.

It's kind of ****, in my opinion, that Apple doesn't give the option to remove things from the screen capture utility without removing the whole option. I've never cared about the Android customization vs. iOS debate because I love Apple. Until now.

Given that Facebook is under investigation by the FTC, I have a feeling the current behavior will soon change.

Change is relative. A tiger can’t change its stripes. FB’s entire business model is predicated upon monetizing user info.

I mean iOS integration regarding Facebook, not that Facebook will change. I jumped off that ship years ago.

Best just to use FaceBook in a dedicated browser.

It will try to prevent you from using Messages, insisting you need to install that app.

However, this can be defeated by going to the 'Visitor's Post' of a page and requesting desktop site from there (in your browser menu). If you do that, it will keep the mobile layout but allow you to use Messages and overall just run way better. It's odd but works, at least with Chrome on iOS.
