Need some help. I bought a 2TB iCloud plan so I could back up some essential files while I was travelling. The problem is that the backup is killing my macbook. I literally can’t use it without going offline. iCloud isn’t going to work for me. How do I desync without losing the files that are being backed up? Does iCloud keep a local copy on my MacBook? The warning messages are not very clear.
I’ve used Google, one drive and Dropbox as backups and never had any issues. I didn’t imagine that iCloud would be so slow and unintuitive.
