Disable Login Items for other user

I'm trying to disable login items for an account that's having problems. The iMac is getting kernel panics when trying to login as a particular user. I'm unable to login as that user and disable the account because the item starts up right away and causes the kernel panic. I don't get kernel panics as my administrator user.

I need to know how to login as my administrator account and disable login items for the other user.

Temporarily prevent items from opening automatically when you log in

If you see the login window, press the Shift key while you click the Log In button, then release the Shift key when you see the Dock.

This sounds like it will do the trick!

Forgot to update, but this did the trick. Once I was able to login, I was able to disable the login items.
