There's an annoying process that's constantly running on my mac, chewing up processing power (ALOT of processing power). It's owned by root, and I force quit it in activity monitor, but it automatically relaunches itself. How can I force quit it and keep it gone?

And do you have a network printer installed? And if yes, which model?
Because the process "ipp" is associated with network printers and CUPS, according to a quick search.
