Disable vibrate during calls?

It seems ridiculous to me that my phone will vibrate when I'm on a phonecall if I recieve an email or text message. This will happen ten or more times on some calls, and though I don't think the person on the other side of the call can hear it, it is very distracting and sometimes startling to me.

Is anyone aware of a way to resolve this, other than disabling vibrate altogether?

I second this inquiry. And I have had people comment about hearing the vibration.

Any help would be much appreciated.

This is a HUGE issue for me as well. Unfortunately, there is no way to disable it just during phone call that I know of. I have asked on this site if this is anywhere to be found in the iOS 6 betas, but I have heard nothing. 🙁
