Disabling cellular data on wifi save battery life?

    Just wondering If I disable cellular data when Im connected to a wifi network save battery life? Does it make a difference?

    No. Just use your phone and don't worry about the battery. I turned the percentage indicator off back when I got my 4s and I haven't worried about it since then.

    Doubt it will make any difference since when on wifi it will not use any carrier data anyway.

    Unless of course you are not on wifi and it uses the cellular data radio.

    Unless you are turning the radio off completely (not calls or SMS), you won't save any power at all.

    When I'm home I turn off cellular data, don't know why other than it takes 3 seconds.

    It's pretty pointless and also you won't get any mms messages or visual voicemails with no carrier data.

    Somewhat related, but at my apartment, I get 1-2 bars on LTE and about 4 bars on 3G. Which should I switch to to save on battery? I realize the difference will be small but curious either way.

    I know but don't care about mms. Almost everyone I know uses the iPhone anyway.

    That's a good point.
    Hope AT&T will do wifi calling soon too.
