ok I know in windows you can turn off certain hardware from the hardware profile thingie for example like a cd drive or network card. How do I do this in my macbook? I want to disable the mic completely.

You could always just turn the input volume right down in the Sound pane of System Preferences. Would this help? Why do you want to disable the mic? 🙂

cause I am trying to play my guitar thru it and the input lvl of my guitar is tie with the input lvl of the mic it is giving me really bad feedback.

Did turning the input volume down help at all? I noticed that even when it's turned down it still gives some feedback on the meter though. 🙁
