Hi, I'm really, really hoping someone can help me! The trackpad on my Macbook Pro (2009) is shot. I have disabled it and am using mouse keys, but in order to type, I have to enable the tracker pad. At this point, the cursor goes crazy, clicking on everything in sight and deleting/moving my text. I have found a lot of forums specifying how to turn off the trackpad when connecting a mouse, but does anyone have any idea how to keep the trackpad disabled when using the keyboard AND not having a mouse plugged in?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
