Hi there,

I have no mobile signal at home so as I leave an area of coverage I set up my iPhone to forward calls to either my Skype or landline. This is confirmed by the Call forwarding icon appears in the menu bar on the home screen.

However, after time the icon diappears, making the phone look as though call forwarding is off, even though it isn't.

I've missed a number of calls over the last few days and wondered why people who don;'t know my Skype number have been calling it

Does anyone know why the icon disappears and/or what can be done to keep the icon displayed whenever the phone is set to forward calls.

I've got a Pre-Pay UK O2 3GS, unlocked and running on Orange UK

Thanks

The call forwarding icon disappears if you re-start the phone. The only way to then get it back is to check the call forwarding status through the Settings->Phone->Call Forwarding menus. If it's already set, the icon re-appears.

As I frequently forward all calls to voicemail, it's a decidedly unimpressive 'feature'.

In the words of Mr Rascal: Bonkers

And not ideal
