Disappearing Cursor

Hello,
I am runnning both classic and OS X 10.2.8 on a G4. In all applications my cursor disappears. If I close the application the cursor comes back, but it disappears again if I relaunch the app. I must restart, but then it still disappears again!
I have repaired permissions and zapped the pram. It's very frustrating!

This happens for me when I put the mouse on my bookmarks tap in safari, I'm running tiger.

This happens to a lot of people, I am not exactly sure just why.
