I’ve just bought an iPhone 11. It’s great but when archiving emails from inbox/junk to another folder, the content of the moved email vanishes. I just get a “This message has not been downloaded from the server” message.

it’s not a problem for emails that contain advertising images etc but for more important text only emails it is a big problem.

Anyone know what’s going on?

thanks.

Emails are stored on the web server. It sounds like the server is running slow or whatever. Check again later

hi
the behavior you describe is confirmed as still happening in macOS Catalina 10.15.2 Mail app.*
but i have never heard of the problem you describe happening in OS.
are you using apple's Mail app on iOS?

*just today i lost an incoming business email that i took a chance to move to a local folder on my mac - and it lost its content (only header info appears after it being moved).
the workaround on mac's Mail is to drag an important email to the desktop and then take a chance to move the original mail; reimporting it if the original one gets "lost".
