Hey everyone,

so I noticed this week that the silent switch on my iPhone 13 pro max 256gb is loose and when I want to move the switch physically from normal to silent it keep going back to normal ringer status, so disappointed I called apple care and they said just send it for repair, im like seriously! I got the phone on release day and I never dropped it or damaged it in anyway.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

It sounds like they have offered to repair it for you which is about as good as customer service gets I would say.

I sent my AW off for repair and they decided it was instead worthy of replacement. I got it back within 7 days which I thought was excellent. Not sure what your issue is to be honest.

Sounds like Apple is going to fix the issue, not sure what else you expect them to do. Inventory is scarce so they may not have a replacement device to send you so repair is the only or best option..

You’re on this forum with hundreds of posts and 11 years of membership, what exactly do you expect them to offer you? A free Mac Pro or a bunch of flowers with a card signed by Tim Cook?
I’m crying here. 🤣👍🏼

Normally I throw sarcasm or criticism with the best of them, but I think I get your frustration. When you pay $1200 plus tax for something, you’d hope you get a perfect product. Yes they offered to fix it, but you prefer they not have to open up an expensive device and in essence ‘refurbish’ it. I get it. Unfortunately as some have eluded to, it’s impossible for there not to be defects. Tech isnt perfect. And fortunately or unfortunately Apple handles this by offering repair vs a new phone. You just had some bad luck. All you can do is get the phone repaired and move forward. Don’t let it eat at you.
