Google it, it is common, there are plenty off examples of this happening. Do you expect me to list them all?

A search in this forum for “Unauthorized modification” doesn’t have any other results until you go back to 2019.

It’s common, except for Apple Watch users who use MacRumors, it seems.

Apple, outside of America, seems to be a whole different company.

In the UK and EU, Apple have to be even better again than the US due to our consumer laws. Occasionally they try it on by trying to get out of things like this example from Turkey, but thankfully the law is on our side here. I’ve always had good experiences with Apple but know some who have had to get consumer ombudsman involved etc to get matters resolved.

See if the reseller can help you with in any way, like exchange it etc without getting involved with Apple. Good luck to you.
I reached out to them, and they couldn't do anything, which is understandable. Thank you for the suggestion though!

The Arbitration Committee for Customer Complaints in Turkey typically rules in favor of customers. I have had three cases against different companies, and I won all of them. I hope to demonstrate well my innocence and win the cases like other ones.

I bought from a reputable reseller, but the watch was new. I pulled the tabs myself, and the loops/watch was brand new.
I'd work with the reseller on a solution. If Apple's claiming the watch is not genuine (reading between the lines, that's what I'm seeing) then your redress would be through the seller.

Yes, I have submitted my complaint via the commission to pass along to the reseller, as the reseller created the receipt, even though it's unclear whether or not they are at fault.
