    I upgraded my systems recently from a 2009 Macbook and a 2007 Mac Pro - and getting a i7 Macbook Pro 2.2 late 2011.

Im slightly disappointed that in my room it will not receive the flat wireless signal. It gets timeouts and is intermittent or simply does not work. However my old white macbook gets connection no problems - as well as my sisters 2010 macbook unibody...

So those earlier lower spec models get better wireless...do they have better hardware or might it be a software issue...

Is there any way to improve this? Its really frustrating not to be able to use this rather expensive device in my bedroom...

Changing the channel that the router is using could improve things. There could be interference from other nearby ones.
