Disc Utility (warning)

I have been trying to figure out why Monterey seems to keep giving me so many random spinning beach-balls. Activity monitor is no help because nothing ever spikes or even changes in that util when this problem happens. Grrrr.

I am getting desperate, so I ran disk utility. I am curious if this warning is any big deal?

In my experience, it is. It slows down reading/writing data on the drive.
Backup you data and run First Aid from macOS Recovery. Unmount the volumes and follow Apple’s advice “Repair volumes, then containers, then disks”

Thanks @bogdanw I did a repair and will keep an eye now on how things go over the week.

i'm really fed up with this, as i'm also still on Monterey and just discovered it will not do disk checks properly when in normal macos on apfs volumes as it can't mount/unmount them.
