I have a discolored mighty mouse ball (got it about three months ago).

No, it's not dark grey from dirt - it's blue.

I found out that cleaning the ball with my iKlear Screen blue polishing cloth it makes the ball all smooth and unjams any dirt, but it made the ball an off-blue color.

Should I get a light grey cloth of the same material to clean the ball with?

Hey leave it blue, why not be different, but yes it's more than likely been dyed by the blue cloth, don't worry as long as it's clean and works ok, mine needs a good cleaning ;)
