Its not ideal as you would want a white strap to stay bright white looking. However, the best way to look at it is by thinking of a pair of trainers that you wear with jeans. If you are a real man who wears normal jeans as opposed to a girly man who wears skinny jeans, you will notice that jeans always leave a blue mark on any white bits your trainers may have.

If you wear skinny jeans you have bigger things to worry about, such as chicken legs and crushed testicles

Just wondering if there is something wrong with my one or if everyone is experiencing discolouration of the White sport band.

I haven't even taken the watch for a swim, only done about 4-5 workouts since I've had it and it's slowly turning blue.

Sweat and chemical resistant my ass.
My white sportband is also turning blue. I assumed it was denim, but all my jeans are years old. I have no "raw denim". I have not been able to get the stain out so far.

I've had my SS WSB since 30/04 and it's been worn with jeans, coats etc and isn't showing any sign of discolouration.

Same here. Had mine for over a month. There are others in my house who have, also. Still as white as the day they were purchased.

Some black dyes are actually dark blue and will look like light blue when there's only little of it. So if you have black clothes or mouse pad or something like that it could be the reason for the blue colour.

Man, you really have a warped sense of reality. There is nothing feminine about skinny jeans.

Those a clearly rubbed on marks, you can tell because the area around the hole that had the pin sticking through is spared. A chemical reaction would have more even or randomly placed results.

However, if this were to turn out a reaction to chemicals in the pool I would not go back into that pool

I am sticking to a chemical reaction. Those rubbed on marks are where the band was worn some and allowed the chemicals to rest more. I have seen a blue colored reaction before on some plastics in pool areas.

Mine is doing the exact same thing. It is the part that is facing on the underside of the watch where the pin part is. Almost looks like a watercolor blue stain, very pale, very light but noticeable. Very strange.

I think if/when I get called on my use of poor grammar, I'm just going to blame it on dictating my replies though Siri.

Old thread, but I used toothpaste on mine initially.

It recently went quite blue from ink/denim and I tried a few things including putting it in the dishwasher. I took it out of the dishwasher, still warm, and noticed some had come off. I then rubbed frantically with some quilted kitchen roll (so hard I got a friction burn on my finger!) and all the blue came off. Well pleased. This band is from April 2015.

I don't have an Apple Watch yet but when I was reading about one for sell on Craigslist, the person selling said his watch/band was like new condition and said he uses Magic Eraser to clean his white band. I don't know if that would work for a band discolored by a chemical reaction, but I do know a Magic Eraser can cover a multitude of sins. Still, if I opted to clean watch band with Magic Eraser, I'd try a test on inconspicuous area.

I've had my white sport band since the Apple Watch launch day (April 24th 2015) and wear it almost every day, although I do also have some other bands.

I have noticed over the last couple of months it has started to turn blue so I have just contacted Apple and they have arranged for a free of charge replacement to be sent out.

I do love their customer service! :)

This is exactly why I don't mind paying a bit more for an Apple band or product versus the knockoff as they normally will replace or have some immense level of customer service that will fit my needs. That is just in my experience of course as I have purchased Moko bands and they have lasted fine but did notice the difference in quality and customer service.

My white band has become quite gross over the last 10 months. I work in a grocery store and so the band comes in contact with dirt, vegetables, general gross-ness etc. all day. The bottom was a nice shade of green/brown.

I couldn't deal with the gross looking band anymore, so I purchased a Black Sport Band to go with my Silver aluminum Watch and not only does this band not stain, it looks 100x better in my opinion. The Black/Silver combo looks really classy.

I like to mix a white and a black sportband, and guess what... the white pieces tend to stain where they contact the black one... but it's not that bad :)

My White Apple Watch Sport band is doing the exact same thing! mine is also slowly turning a blueish colour and no matter how hard I srub or what cleaning product I use, it will not come off.

The blue color is most likely ink. It could be coming from a black cloth. Many of my white Apple cables got blue color from a black cleaning cloth that came with my MacBook Air.

I know what it is... so have u ever gotten a piece of real gold, or stainless steal(not sure about the stainless steal) anyhow get a piece of gold like a ring and run it along your face in a straight line. I bet that a blackish line shows up. It’s an old wives tail but I heard that when that happens it means that ur low on iron. I am not sure how creditable this is. But I notice when I wear my watch it will turn blueish- green in the area that touches my skin. If I wear jewelry it does the same to me as well. Just a thought. Anyhow. Good luck!!!

Year after year after year my white bands get stained. Lol I wear a lot of denim jackets.

I boil water, pour it into a bowl, put the band in, add detergent that I use to wash clothes. Then I burn myself while taking out the band and I scrub it with those metal scrubs. They look like new. I'm very creative
