Beware of ads like this where there are multiple items listed. He could easily send you just the black sport band (or the empty Series 4 box) for that $37.50 and claim you got what you ordered. You lose all buyer protection unless the ad clearly specifies what you're buying. I contacted him and asked him to create a listing for just the band I was looking for, and he refused.
crap, I did not realize that about offerup. I saw that offer up offers buyer protection, so I thought I would be safe and protected. He accepted my offer for both hyper grape and Hyper Crimson/Neptune Green. Is there anything I can do at this point? In my offer and chat, I specifically asked for hyper grape and Hyper Crimson/Neptune Green

Take a screen shot of your offer and chat, if you still can.
I received a fake band once from an Offer Up purchase, and Offer Up refunded my money almost immediately. All I had to do was send a photo of what I received.
Good luck.

If anyone sees a plum Sport Band 40/ 38 mm (authentic Apple manufactured band only) for a discounted price or has one they don’t care for please let me know. Seriously lusting over that band but I can’t do full price right now.

I am waiting with bated breath for the post-Christmas period...eBay and Mercari and Poshmark should be flooded with unwanted bands

Yes, they'll refund you if it's clear what you bought. That's the problem with these ads with multiple items though. It's not clear what you bought.

You'll probably be fine though.

Dang Best Buy wants those old PT bands GONE!

Has anyone been able to verify if these are authentic US bands? I got my replacement Cape Cop band from best buy in today, with the fake PT- UPC sticker over the Apple UPC. I've also noticed these are not dated like OEM bands either.

What else is truly peculiar and why I ask if these are authentic is the real product page for the item says it's a non stocked/discontinued item. The new 'PT' band product page is separate of the original product page.

I noticed that a band is listed at Best Buy under two different SKU's, and one of them had a (PT) in the model number. Do you mind elaborating on what this is?

That is what I am referring to. Does 'PT' stand for preowned/returns/open box items? These listings on 'new' old stock bands are different than the real product pages.

Ya, it's weird. Also the band I linked is actually a Nike Sport Loop, which is not referred to as Nike in either SKU's. I'm getting the PT one on Thursday, and we'll see what I'll actually get.

A bunch of people here got these PT bands earlier this year when Best Buy first put them up and they were all genuine. I got 2 leather loops, both genuine new in box. I have seen some people getting open box or heavily damaged box items lately though. I am guessing the PT bands are old stock Best Buy found in a warehouse and is trying to clear out quickly. Still genuine bands though.

I ordered several of the PT bands when they were first posted too. Some of the boxes were slightly damaged, but they were all un-opened and brand new genuine Apple bands.

That seller is local to me, very close by looking at the map, so let me know if I need to go punch someone in the nose for you. :)

Quick update, ICYMI. Both the app and the chart have been updated with the recently released bands in Northern Blue, Kumquat, and Plum. Get inspired what to wear next!

I'm in Gilbert too

Sweet, we can beat the guy up tag-team style. :) I'm actually in East Mesa now, but I lived in Gilbert for years...27 years in the east valley.

Thanks, guys

I have a friend that lives in cave creek and was going to pick them up for me next week but I thought it would be easier to just have him mail them. (that was before I saw the warning)

I bought a LOT of the recent sale BB bands (more than I should admit to) and they were all still sealed. The only one that was not sealed was the soft pink leather classic buckle but I bought that as an open box. It actually still had the plastic on the buckle, so it was unworn.

I'm sure you won't have a problem. I don't think this seller is intentionally trying to rip anyone off. It only becomes a problem if the item is different than described and you have to jump through hoops to prove what you ordered. That being said, it's not like you've ordered a $10,000 diamond or something...

Speaking of OfferUp buyer protection: I ordered a Nike Black/White from OfferUp last week and an empty envelope arrived today! The paper over the adhesive strip was never removed and there is no evidence of any other tape. I think he just forgot to seal the envelope and now there's a free Nike band floating around in the mail somewhere!

right right.... now where would you say it's most likely the band slipped out? asking for a friend...

As I start to build my little collection of bands I’m noticing that some Sport Bands are very hard to slide into the track where it attaches to the Apple Watch, some are perfect, and others are almost loose. Is this normal? If so, what causes these differences - is it slight differences in thickness of the rubber or the locking mechanism? I should add that all of the bands are authentic Apple bands.

I never had a problem with any Apple Watch (had every one since the original, and I switch bands a LOT) until I got my Nike S6 last week with the Nike Pride Sport band. One side of that band is so hard to slide in and out - when the watch arrived and I put it together for the first time, I thought I was going to have to return it because I couldn't get the band in, but finally I made it work. I switched to the Pride Sport Loop last night, and that one was much easier, so I'm thinking it's the Pride sport band and not the watch case itself that's the issue.

Yeah, I also had a lot of trouble getting the Nike Pride band to slide in, and from what others have said it seems to be a widespread issue with that band. I would have exchanged it when I first got it but that was when all the stores were closed and since so many had the same problem there was no guarantee the replacement would be any better.

I know it’s not the watch- it’s definitely the bands that vary for one reason or another. The tightest one I have is the surf blue Sport Band. The Large size portion slides on fine but the Small is almost too tight to squeeze on. Of course my size is Small. Just ordered it from Best Buy and don’t want to exchange or return. Just a pain to try to push on.
