This happened to me with a band on eBay a couple weeks ago. I sent an offer and it took 2-3 hours to hear back with ‘Someone told me...’ at that point I just give up. Not gonna budge. 😑
Maybe ruined it for us, but it’s a gesture of kindness to a stranger, which is better.

He just took the time to send me another message bragging that he sold it for $45 and was nice for doing so because he could have gotten a lot more. OK, I can't say for sure he was bragging, but that's how I read it. Anyway, it's gone now.

lug size says 40mm but I’m still learning to read it properly so I might be wrong.
I’ve had good experiences with Chinese wholesalers on eBay. Amazing deals if you can handle a few scratches but you can get mint, sometimes with the Apple plastic for a good bit under $200.

Hopefully the supply of 42mm on eBay replenishes. You really shouldn’t pay more than 200usd. I think they’re still pumping them out but who knows. Best Buy did a massive markdown of the black link so maybe this band style will get swept away with the modern buckle and leather loop.
