I think if it's 38mm it has to be either Gen 1 or Gen 2, (Gen 3 says 40mm) and Gen 2 doesn't have the (Product) logo on the back.

If it says 38mm, Gen1 says ‘ProductRED’ on the pin side of the strap. If it doesn’t, it’s Gen2. Gen3 and 4 will say 40 or 44mm.
