They are stiff, but I still find them cool and comfortable because I don't wear it super tight on my wrist. It kind of makes them the coolest of the bands to me because since they do sort of maintain an oval shape when they are buckled, instead of being flush against my wrist, there is some air flow.
I have all of the above. Didn’t include black in the picture, but here they are all atop the Mindful Minutes blanket. Man do they look great together.

It’s my favorite style. Wearing the black/grey right now. Maybe it was stiff the first couple of times I wore it (can’t recall, really), but now it’s my most comfortable band.
Curious if their dark gray is actually dark gray. If so that’s a superb deal!
Personally, I’d feel a little weird returning a sealed band that’s now open, but if you want to push it he may let you, but certainly is not required to. You could also probably sit on it until his stock is gone and then sell it for more than you bought it for.
