Is anyone else having issues using discover and Apple Pay at a physical location? It gives me an invalid account error. I called discover and they said it may be a known issue, but they seemed confused regarding Apple Pay. They definitely weren't willing to credit me the 10% cash back I would have received had it worked.

Discover not working Apple pay

I'm not sure if this is strictly Discover related, but I have been using Apple Pay with my AMEX for a while with no issues. Just last weekend I added my new Discover card, I went to Macy's, it didn't work, went to McD was told that the machine was broken. My wife and I both thought it was a very weird coincidence, the fact that things stopped working/broken the day we added the Discover card.
But fortunately the next day, I had it working at several other stores that takes Apple Pay. Maybe it was just a bad day for Apple Pay/Discover? Why did you go through with the purchase though? We went to best buy and the moment they told me they are not taking Apple Pay my wife told them to void the transection and we just talked out.

Yeah Apple Pay has been working fine with my other cards, just not with Discover. I hope it works for me soon. In regards to me going through with the purchase, I definitely would have held off had it been substantial, but I was just doing some light grocery shopping.
Which stores? Discover's worked fine with me for Apple Pay everywhere but First Data terminals so far (comes back with "insert/swipe or try another card).
I see, yea we needed something from Best Buy and giving that Discover was doing that whole 10% + double points it wasn't worth it for us to shop there (we won't have gotten the cash back). I'm hoping maybe by October or November we can see Apple Pay at best buy.
Best Buy's now taking Apple Pay in store according to an article posted here a few days ago.
