Does anyone know why I see different numbers in the following and follower count here? It’s a minor thing but I want to know where this data is being pulled from.

I went to MacRumors on my laptop and I don’t see any followers / following at all on my account and I don’t see any way to check followers / following on the Tapatalk web client either.

I'm not a Tapatalk user, but I suspect it's a Tapatalk-specific following/follower thing that's distinct from the native XenForo feature for our forums.

I believe if you like or quote another user on Tapatalk, you automatically start following them there.

I thought so but I can’t find any settings that can turn this feature off.

Yeah, I'm not sure. Googling around, I see that there should be a setting to make it so you don't automatically follow people you reply to, and how to block specific followers, but I don't see any discussion of settings to turn the whole thing off.

Thanks. I’ve posted it in the Tapatalk support forum as well, let’s see if they say.

It does look like a Tapatalk issue. I’m gonna manually unfollow these people from within the app now. Crazy!
