Discrete Graphics Switching Screen Flash

I have recently noticed that when the laptop goes from the onboard video to the AMD GPU the screen will quickly flash blue twice. This looks exactly the same as when you would change resolutions and the screen would flash blue for a short period. Does anyone else have this issue? Is this normal?

This is normal. No need to worry. It even happens on my 2009 MBP when switching GPUs.

I just started noticing this 2 days ago, it happens every time I turn on my mac or come back from sleep mode.
