[Discuss] Why Macbook much more popular than Mac desktop?

I agree with this. If I am going to spend that much on a desktop, then I'll build my own. However, I can't exactly build my own laptop because it's based more on portability and design versus specs. I ended up splurging on a Macbook Pro because I was tired of owning a laptop that couldn't hold any sort of battery life and weighed a ton.

It's interesting you guys say that. I never really thought about getting a Mac desktop aside from the performance increase of course, but from a usability standpoint, I think OS X shines on the laptop front.

I've been using 17" PowerBook, and multiple 17" MBP as my primary computer for years.

I still have desktop but they are more of a TV / appliance.

Because Apple does not make reasonable desktops.

Otherwise Intel's integrated graphics appear to be all the rage.
