DISH approved as a wireless LTE carrier

Will be interesting to see where this will go. LTE only network and they already collaborate internally with Google on software and tech so the expanded talks of the carrier collaboration could mean a 5th big player in the carrier world.

How are they going to do voice? If VZW/AT&T don't have the cell density to get VoLTE working, how will Dish?

Wasn't it just found that Voice over LTE drains battery twice as fast? It'll be interesting to see how they deal with that. Regardless, this is starting to get real interesting. Only LTE service with Google excites me.

I dont know the specifics of the tech but Verizon is planning on doing consumer testing of voice of LTE in late 2013. So the technology is there they just need the network coverage to support it.
