This is why I am losing faith in Micromat...

So after nearly a month of crying in my beer about paying for the update, I decided to buy it today. Strangely, Micromat's store is not secure, so I ordered it over the phone. After hanging up the phone, I looked forward to my confirmation e-mail. I got this instead:
We received your order for Drive 10. We have been informed that Micromat
will be releasing an update to Drive 10, version 1.1.2. Therefore, we will
hold your order until the new version has been released, which should be
around the week of September 16. I am sorry we are unable to ship anything
at this time.

This new release will include improved optimization and be able to boot the
new OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) that has just started shipping.
Now, this isn't enough to make me cancel my order, but it bugs me. I bought their product when it was released because they said it "optimize(d)" drives. Magically, they had changed this word from meaning defragmented to something else. In addition, now their website indicates "NEW! Now includes Mac OS X optimization!"

GRR...

Very frustrating.

Chris

p.s., I will let y'all know if it was actually worth all the headache. [crosses fingers]
