Hello everyone -

I'm trying to get my old Oxygen8 running on my C2D Macbook running 10.4.9.

Here's the link to the driver from M-Audio's site: http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.drivers&f=677&dl=yes

Problem is that when I try and mount the disk image, I get the following error: "The disk image you are opening may be damaged and could damage your system. Are you sure you want to open this disk image?"

If I click on 'Don't Open,' I get the following: "The following disk images failed to mount" and it supplies the name of the file and under reason says: "no mountable file systems."

I called M-Audio and they claim that the file is fine.

I tried the same file on an old G4 Mac Mini running 10.4.9 and I get the same error.

I have tried repairing disk permissions.

Can someone try the disk image (esp. if you are running 10.4.9) and tell me if it's just my systems that are having an issue with the file?

Thank you so much...

Have you tried setting up the keyboard without the drivers in the audio midi utility?

I have an M-Audio keystation usb keyboard and never needed to use the drivers.

You know...I haven't. I'll give that a go.

Just an update, M-Audio tech support is saying that this is a definite 10.4.9 issue.

Well, it's been a few years since I set mine up.

I plugged in the keyboard to the usb port, turned it on and when I went into the midi tab in aduio midi set up my keyboard just showed up.

Try to rescan devices or add a midi device, if that doesn't work, you may need the driver.

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait for M-audio to update their drivers.

Wish I could help you more.

Yeah...I just doesn't show up. I'm wondering if it's because I have one of the first units made v1.

I'm going to try to solve the driver issue w/M-Audio.

Yeah, I checked your driver and Oxygen 8 version 1 isn't class compliant.

Did you notice the date on your driver 10.4.9 update? 3/21/2006? seems a bit odd.

Anyway, good luck with M-audio.

Agreed that the date is weird. They keep pointing me to threads on Apple about people not being able to mount *any* disk images after 10.4.9, but the only image I have a problem with is theirs!

I'll report back if I ever find a solution...

Wow, holy, awesome, ok

BUT,
anyone still know the workaround for "no mountable file systems"?
it's very crazy how most topics get changed, taken for idiots who try to "install a windows program" or closed.

is this subject really haunted or something?

i haven't found a solution in four years.
please help with "error 95 no mountable file systems"

I never found a solution and ended up retiring my M-Audio controller when I purchased a Novation one.
