A aldorande macrumors member Original poster Jan 23, 2018 #1 I get this error all the time in Mac OS, showing up in the top right corner of my display. iMac is running Mac OS 10.13.2. I have a 500G WD HDD connected via USB and I am not touching it. It does not seem to have any impact.

elf69 macrumors 68020 Jan 23, 2018 #3 I had that! turned out I needed a powered USB hub. I was using passive one and was not enough power to run the drive and it kept powering down. I swapped to powered hub and the issue has gone.
