Running After Effects CS5 on MacPro 4, 1 SL.
After months and of use, we noticed that rendering on this system has become 10x more than same or better box.
Most of our projects reside on XServe so for last test I consolidated project on desktop.
    Didnt help.
So for the heck of it I created a new user and tried it there.
Of course thats a pain due to all fonts missing blah blah...
Well weird enough the damn thing renders exactly the same speed as same or faster workstation.
I thought maybe its Disk perm on the suspect user account.
It was a mess in Disk U but after the clean-up still slow as molasses.
    Anyone with same experience?
I know I can just kill the older user but hope to avoid that due to other reasons.

Haha thanks. I have better things to do than talk with that lot :p
I have enough issues with them, Id rather switch to a new user :)
