I'm trying to test the speed of my synology DS214 with my macbook retina 2013. I tried blackmagic disk speed test from the app store but it generates an error.

Ny other free alternatives? I'm not a professional benchmarker; I just want to get a ball park 1 time idea of how fast this is going.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Yes

Ultimately, that's exactly what I did:

Here's the significant result:

Single large file xfer done via ethernet to NAS: 848 mb/sec.
Single large file xfer done via Wifi AC (connect rate 878) to NAS: 426 mb/sec.

So, the bottle neck is the wifi, not the NAS. I don't need a SSD to SSD xfer.

So, the question remains is 426 mb/sec representative of three streams of wifi AC?

Thanks,
Mike
