Disk Utilities

    Since the Air doesn't use a conventional HDD, are disk utilities needed at all any more? Anybody know the failure rate of flash storage compared to disk storage?

    No never. You'll decrease the life of your SSD if you do. SSD stores information differently than a conventional HD.
