When reformatting an 80 gig IDE hard drive, I did the unmentionable - I interrupted the format because it was taking too long. I restarted disk utility, and then the hard drive was not recognized, and the notorious clicking sound commenced from the hd. So, what did I screw up, and is it repairable. There is nothing on the drive of any value to me (I purchased it used, and just want it as an extra drive), and am willing to take the thing apart if I have a chance of repairing it. Any and all advise would be welcome.

Thank you,

Brad
