I have a macpro 10.4 OS.

I have been using it 2 weeks (although 1 year old with no past problems).

the other day it clocked for 10minutes during the playback of audio file.

I manually shut down computer. It then came up with Grey screen at startup. I rebooted with startup disks and ran disk utility. It came back with "invalid volume header" for my main hard drive...and under Checking HFS Plus Volume, it read "the volume needs to be repaired"...Also, "Error:the underlying task reported failure on exit", and lastly, under 1 HFS volume checked, it reads "volume needs repair".

I then ran the repair disk. It came back with same information and popup that reads "first aid failed"...Disk Utility stopped repairing "core" because the following error was encountered: The underlying task reported failure on exit".

HELP...thanks
