HI,

I just downloaded Lion and was trying to make a seperate partition for it do I didnt delete Snow Leopard..
WHen i was doing it, my computer froze for a while so i had to turn it off manually...

Now when i try to create a partition i get this message..

Partition failed with the error:

Could not modify partition map because filesystem verification failed

how can i fix this so i can install Lion on a partition??

PS I dont have a external HD so i dont want to risk losing all my files...

Well you should not be attempting this without backup then.. That said boot your computer to single user mode (hold s key while booting) there it will tell you the commands to type in to check the file system and mount your / once done typing in reboot and hitting enter key will restart your machine halt shuts it down.
