I've never really used a raid set-up before but need to now, can i use 2 seperate sized hard drives in raid 0 (spanning)? i will be using a 1TB and a 750GB? thanks

yes you can, but the raid array will only be as big as the smallest drive in the set......so you would in effect be losing 250GB in your case....
ok, thanks, might just get another TB then, i thought that might only be the case in raid 1 for irroring, thank again.
