Disk Utility Restore Problem

So I made an image of my windows 7 partition using disk utility. I want to restore the partition from that image using disk utility but it won't let me. When I try and drag the image to the source field, a plus (+) sign comes up and when I let go, it stays in the field. However, when I try and grad the bootcamp partition into the destination field, it never stays. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Disk Utility Restore problem

I am running Mac OS X 10.7.3.
My Mac Hard Disk contains 40 GB and I want to back it up to an external HD partition of 80 GB. When I try to do that Disk Utility tells me that there is not enough space on the partition. When I check the partition with Disk Utility it tells me that there is 80 free space on it.
I can do the backup successfully with Carbon Copy Cloner using the same 80GB partition but not with Disk Utility.
