Disk Utility won't see External Drive

Help! I was resizing the partitions on my external drive in Disk Utility and somehow it failed and then the drive disconnected. Now Disk Utility will no longer see my drive when I plug it in either by USB or Firewire! What do I do!? I can't lose all this data!!

DiskWarrior saved my drive, quick and easy too, but I think it's up to $100 to buy it now.
