Just spent 20~30 minutes waiting on Disk Warrior CD to startup on my 2011 21.5 iMac. It came with Lion, but I've upgraded to ML.

The CD has 10.6 on it for a system. I *think* my iMac needs 10.7+ to run. Could that be why it takes so long to boot up on my iMac? If so, can I do anything about it to speed it up?

the basic rule of thumb is that the disk warrior cd has multiple boot tracks for a lot of different mac models and it keeps trying different boot sectors until one works.

ask disk warrior, i think they will tell you the same thing

All versions I've used over the last few years are copied to a clone. Boot the clone and run the app. Works quite well. Waiting on a DW DVD is nuts.

Version 5 is terrific BTW. Super fast and 64bit.

I'd seen that v5 was out (or soon would be) and wondered about it.

Maybe see about upgrading.
