I have some problems using diskaid. When I try to access my contacts, or messages I receive an error message like this one:

"DiskAid is not able to get data from the device. Make sure you are not syncing with iTunes at the same time or try to restart both your device and your computer. Path : /Users/Wim/Library/ApplicationSupport/MobileSync/Backup/AddressBook.sqlitedb"

I searched everywhere and didn't found any solution. I hope someone can help me here? I have a jailbroken iPhone 4, running on 4.1. I wanted to use diskaid to copy everything to my macbook so I can perform a 5.0.1 jailbreak..

Thanks in advance.

I need a solution on short-term, I don't want to wait a week for the support to answer my question.

48 hours max!

Hi, this is Vic from DigiDNA support,

Sorry about that I just want to mention that we have a 48hrs policy support. We actually almost never let more 24 hours pass before getting back to support requests.

No matter what, this issue is linked with iTunes, it is probably not capable of performing a necessary backup for DiskAid to read. In most cases triggering a manual backup of the device and rebooting does the trick.

For more help just drop us a line ;-)

Best,
Vic

I got this exact message, and my iphone is locked (forgot the passcode, long story, I posted earlier today on this forum about it)

I posted on the FB page and someone got back to me about 12 hrs later. They said it's a database issue, I don't think it is, I think it's because the phone is locked and it's in recovery mode and cannot be backed up.

I think it's funny how all recovery programs want to do a backup and can't because it's locked yet iTunes DOES NOT do a backup when restoring from a locked phone.

Something is wrong with this picture ;)

I think I'm SOL

(ps--u can get pics off the phone by just hooking up the phone w/ the wire, going into My Computer and double clicking until u get to the DCIM folder. Inside that are multiple folders w/ all your pics video.)
