You can pay extra not to see ads. The only time I see an ad these days is watching sports. It’s almost like a novelty to see an ad for me at this point. It’s an oh wow ads still exists moment.
Yes, I am aware of this concept. However when making a choice between spending 12 to 17 dollars a month versus spending $1.99 a month, I will opt for muting the TV during HIMS commercials.

It will be nice to be able to stream "Futurama," "King of the Hill," "Malcolm in the Middle," and "Family Guy" (at least up to Season 8) within the same app as the other Disney+ stuff.

Lol, Disney+ in Europe (especially UK) has all those shows included already. We have no Hulu, so most Hulu content goes to Disney+.

It's almost like the same companies and executives responsible for skyrocketing cable prices are now in charge of the streaming services. Huh.

Streaming service prices will still have to go a fair amount higher to match the inflation adjusted prices of premium channels like HBO, Showtime, Disney Channel, etc. from decades ago.

40 years ago when the Disney Channel had originally launched, it could run around $11/month and that's on top of the cost of the required (to get Disney) cable/satellite plan. $11/month in today's dollars is around $34/month.

Even with the latest price increases, Disney+ with more content, on demand features, etc. can be had for as little as $7.99/month with ads or $13.99/month without ads. A bargain by comparison. Whether or not it was worth it then or is worth it now was/is, of course, up to the subscriber.
