Disney+ in Safari does not retain login information

This is getting annoying, but I don't know if it's a Safari Monterey bug or a Disney+ issue, but whenever I relaunch Safari to watch Disney+, I have to re-login. It's fine if I don't close the browser, but as soon as I exit Safari, I lose my Disney+ login info. It's very irritating having to type this in new each time Safari is newly launched. Note there is no "save password" checkbox that I can see in the webpage.

Is this by design, or is it a bug?

Netflix information is saved fine, so I know cookies are being saved.

I tried this on a different Mac with Monterey, and get the same result in Safari. Disney+ login information is not saved.

This is working for me on Monterey (12.3.1). I don't need to sign into Disney+ again after quitting Safari (15.4).

Seems odd it's not working for you, even on another Mac. Are you using any extensions or content blockers that could be interfering with it?

Good point. I'm using Vinegar, which is supposed to only affect YouTube content, but who knows...

Thank you. I will do some more testing without Vinegar.

EDIT:

The other machine where it also doesn't retain Disney+ info doesn't actually have Vinegar installed, so that's probably not it.

I suspect it's some obscure setting somewhere...

Problem solved, sorta. Login info retained if I go to:

https://www.disneyplus.com/en-gb/home

Login info lost if I go to:

https://www.disneyplus.com/ or http://www.disneyplus.com

Very weird.

So, as a workaround, I have changed my Safari bookmark to the first one above.

EDIT:

P.S. https://www.disneyplus.com/en-gb/home is the address when you're already logged into Disney Plus.

If I go to www.disneyplus.com, it will redirect to https://www.disneyplus.com/en-gb/home, but in my case when it gets there, it can't seem to find my login information and then redirects again to the login page. However, if I just go directly to https://www.disneyplus.com/en-gb/home then all works fine. Very strange.
